Gianni Sanna “The Prophet”

Historic DJ and MC of the Sassari rap and hip hop scene: in the mid-80s we find him among first groups of kids practicing street art just arrived from the USA: breakers conradio and cardboard on the floor to dance and send flows around the city, the first ones paint cans to scratch gray concrete walls, early beatboxes and early battles.

From then on his journey began which saw him as an MC in various experiences over the years musical (Matrice sarda, Istrales, Ariabàscia to name the most significant) and disc jockeys.

Lover of vinyls and needles, he approached and refined djing thanks to the collaboration with Radio Venere and evenings in the discos of the Sassari hinterland.

For many years he tried his hand at a camera and control desk working at a broadcaster

local and producing some independent videos. Fine connoisseur and purist of early rap of 80s music in general, is back after a few years of hiatus, blowing up the needleson vinyls and to make us jump too with a wide and refined selection.

And we can’t help but be happy about it!
